LASIK Eye Surgery
Our doctors offer pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries such as LASIK, PRK, RLE, ICL, etc.
There are a variety of refractive surgeries available now. LASIK (laser assisted in situ keratomileusis) is most effective at treating myopia and astigmatism. Some patients with hyperopia may also be candidates. At Norfolk Family Eye Care, we provide evaluations and referrals for patients interested in LASIK surgery. A current exam is important to determine if you are a candidate for LASIK surgery and if there are any other factors that may affect your results.
Once the doctors have performed the evaluation and determined that you are possible candidate, you will be given a referral to the surgery center of your choice. The center will perform a free consultation including advanced diagnostic testing to further evaluate your eligibility for surgery. Various surgery options will be discussed with you if you are determined to be a surgical candidate. We will be in correspondence with the center regarding your evaluation and surgical determination.
Norfolk Family Eye Care works closely with Laser Vision London, TLC Laser Eye Centre, and LASIK MD for a team based approach of your before and after procedure care.
We typically see patients for follow-up the day after the surgery and continue at prearranged times over the following six months.
