Our Optometric Assistants

Tracy has been a part of the Norfolk Family Eye Care team since the start of the new millennium. She earned her certification as an Optometric Assistant in 2003 and is proud to serve the office and the patients as the Office Manager for all 3 locations. Her dedication and hard work have helped grow the practice to what it is today.

Janel is proud to be born and raised in Norfolk County. She is a Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant and has been a part of Norfolk Family Eye Care’s team since 2012.

Lisa joined Norfolk Family Eye Care in 2006 and earned her certification as an Optometric Assistant in 2007. She is now the Dispensary Manager in the Simcoe location and specializes in eyewear selection and fitting.

Since May 2013, Lauren has been an optometric assistant at Norfolk Family Eye Care and obtained her Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant certification in October 2013 and Lab manager at NFEC in 2021. Lauren will dedicate herself to making each patient feel welcomed.

When Lauren isn't working hard in the lab getting your glasses ready, she is loving her time with her husband and daughter. 

Leah joined the NFEC team in October 2019, and has completed the CCOA course in 2020 to become a certified Optometric Assistant and Manager of NFEC Waterford in 2023

Elaine is a life long resident of Port Dover. After a long career in the banking industry and obtaining her Health Care Office Assistant certificate from Fanshawe she started working for Dr. Craig in 2007 and became a Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant in 2008.

Kim has worked at Norfolk Family Eyecare since 2018 and came to us with a background in optical. She worked 3 years in the industry in Oakville.

A city girl at heart, she is a little bit country and a little bit rock n ‘roll !

Kaiden has lived in Norfolk County her whole life, joining the NFEC team in 2018. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from McMaster University in Hamilton. Come see Kaiden in the frame gallery to pick out your next pair of glasses!

Ruth is proud to be a born and bred Jarvis girl!  You will find her in our Simcoe location and probably hear her lovely voice over the phone. She is happy to greet you with a bright smile and is willing to help in any way she can. She keeps all the NFEC team organized and on track!
When Ruth isn’t working she can be found playing with her granddaughter, Rory, or enjoying time with her daughters, Jessi and Heather, or playing with the family’s Clydesdales.  She can also be found in the company of her faithful companion, Hooch -the beagle French bulldog cross. 

Shannon joined NFEC's team in 2021. She enjoys baking and cooking almost as much as putting things high on top shelves so nobody can reach them! She has travelled all around Canada but there's no place like Norfolk County.

Sabrina joined NFEC as an optometric assistant in 2021 and quickly became a Certified optometric assistant in 2022. You'll find Sabrina at either the Simcoe or Waterford location.

Holly joined the NFEC team as an Optometric Assistant in2021. She is currently working towards her CCOA certification. You can find herat all three of our locations, happy to assist you with a smile.

NFEC was excited to welcome Mikayla in March 2022. You can find her in her hometown at our Waterford office.  She enjoys making every patient's experience warm and welcoming.  

Mikayla is a graduate of Early Childhood Education and knows the importance of vision care at an early age.  Although she loves working with all patients, she particularly loves making all kiddos feel comfortable during their time spent in our office.

Monique joined the NFEC family in June 2022 and brings with her over 25 years of Aesthetics experience. Originally from Mississauga, she has called Simcoe home for the last 26 years. 

She's passionate about helping people feel beautiful in their own skin. Specializing in skin specific facials and peels that will definitely leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

Akeisha was born and raised in Barbados before moving to Canada during her teenage years.

Before joining NFEC in 2022 she has completed degrees in Psychology and Social Work and utilizes her passion for helping people in our office.

You can find her in many areas of the office helping patients to have the best experience possible. She might greet you at the front desk, complete some scans for your comprehensive eye exam, or even help you in our frame gallery with your glasses.

Hopefully you will get to interact with her when you come into one of our 3 wonderful locations!

Stephanie has been the eyecare world for over 20 years, but she started working at NFEC in 2022.  She is a Canadian girl, but lived in New Jersey for 20 years.  She is happy to be back home in Canada and loves getting to know patients and helping keep their eyes healthy!

Bekah joined NFEC in 2023 and has quickly become skilled in multiple roles. Bekah enjoys working in all locations.

Danielle joined NFEC in 2023 and quickly took on a role in the frame gallery. She enjoys helping patients find their perfect frames!

Kaitlyn Joined NFEC in 2023 and currently is one of the smiling faces you'll find at our front reception. She strives to help deliver a great patient experience from check-in to checkout.
