Janki Kapadia grew up in Toronto and moved to Simcoe at an early age. She graduated from Simcoe Composite school with highest academic achievement and then went on to graduate from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology. She completed her Doctor of Optometry from The University of Waterloo on the Dean's Honour list in June 2017.
During her time at university, she participated in an eyecare mission trip to rural India where she performed vision testing for underprivileged populations and was an active member of the university's Sports Vision club. She did an ocular disease externship at the Veterans Hospital in Detroit, Michigan focusing on the management of glaucoma, cataracts, retinal disease and emergency care.
Janki completed her primary care externship here at Norfolk Family Eye Care. She is happy to be back in Norfolk County to provide vision care in her community. She currently lives in Simcoe and is accepting new patients in both Simcoe and Port Dover locations starting August 29, 2017
